Dredging of the seabed of Porto Garibaldi
Dredging of the seabed of Porto Garibaldi explained
In 2010 the motor vessel Fernando worked on the dig at Porto Garibaldi’s port mouth, to allow the passage of fishing boats which were having difficulties due to the shallows which had formed at the port’s entrance.
The dig consisted in the removal of around 110,000.00 mt3 to guarantee a depth of -4.00 m below sea level in the area opposite the port.
The material excavated by Fernando was taken to the Lido di Spina (Fe) for coastal replenishment.
